Route Taken: Owl's Roost from Bur-Mil and back. Also rode Big Loop counter clockwise and Wild Turkey from Lake Brandt marina and back.
Opinions: Owl's Roost is fun and a good workout. Some solid climbs and great rolling hills. Big Loop counter clockwise is a single track, long un-ending climb with a short, fast downhill. Excellent training. As for Wild turkey - by far my favorite trail. Tight, fast single- track with lots of moguls (at least one is death defying), bridges, sweeping burms, log pyramids. It's technical (intermediate) and arguably better than Owl's Roost.

Opinions: Owls Roost pretty fast fairly Technical in places. Several Trees Down. Good wookout several short steep climbs. Wild Turkey fast single track with several dips and log crossings. Big Loop mostly double track with some roots.

Route Taken: entrance down from barn(wildlife center)
Opinions: surprised to read the last post on this trail because I thought it was awesome. Yes there are a lot of roots but hey you're in the piedmont of NC. The trail is the cleanest I have ever ridden with lots of tech jumps and and a 20ft gully which I rode over and over. I had a great time and plan to go back soon. It is worth the trip. I don't enjoy loose rocky trails and the roots I can handle but switchbacks on loose rocks when you are trying to climb just sucks. No such problem at the roost.

Route Taken: Started at the golf course, took the double track loop until I came to the Owl's Roost Trail sign. Then I rode the singletrack.
Opinions: Having never ridden this trail before I found it difficult to know where I was on the trail. It could use better markings/signs. It was for me a difficult trail, very challenging but fun. There was a lot of leaves on the trail which made it slick. I fell several times but overall had an enjoyable 2.5 hour ride.
